FiveCurrents Wins Six Telly Awards

FiveCurrents won six Telly Awards for production of the RIO 2007 Pan American Games Opening Ceremony. Executive Producer Scott Givens says, “We had a fantastic team who created spectacular Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 2007 RIO Pan American Games.  It was an experience I’ll never forget. We are honored to receive the Telly.” The Telly Awards “recognize distinction in creative work,” honoring outstanding local and regional productions, as well as non-broadcast video productions.

The program won top honors, a Silver statue, in three categories, including televised Live Events, televised Sports and non-broadcast Sports. The RIO 2007 Opening Ceremony also won Bronze statues for the televised Entertainment, non-broadcast Entertainment and non-broadcast Live Events categories. The RIO 2007 Ceremonies also were honored with the inaugural 2007 ISEM Awards in London.
