On June 13, the Daytime Creative Arts and Entertainment Emmy Awards will be awarded at The Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. Our eight nominees, FiveCurrents’ President Scott Givens, Libby Hyland, Rosa Magalhaes, Luiz Stein, David Profeta, David Grill, Laura Frank, and Paul Sonnleitner are thrilled to be honored with a nomination and are very excited to attend the Awards.
The Rio 2007 Pan American Games Opening Ceremony was recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for its transforming costumes, flawless art and set direction, and beautiful lighting direction. And adding to the Emmy anticipation, the team is looking forward to seeing each other again to celebrate a very successful Pan American Games.

In a May article in BizBash Magazine, CGI’s Director of Membership, Mary Morrison, sang the praises of the FiveCurrents production team:
“California-based company Five Currents has also been with us since the beginning. They oversee the creative and production services of all our events. In a moment’s notice, they will move with us to Asia and New York to scope out venues and vendors.”
FiveCurrents has been producing the Clinton Global Initiative since its inception in 2005. Work on the project involves everything from designing the staging to printing collaterals to webcasting the event. FiveCurrents President, Scott Givens, and his team, will travel to Hong Kong this December to produce the inaugural CGI Asia.

The Rio 2007 Pan American Games Opening Ceremony, a FiveCurrents production, received three daytime Emmy Award nominations. The nominations were announced April 30th on The View, and FiveCurrents is nominated in the following categories:
- Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design/Styling
- Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design
- Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction
FiveCurrents’ President, Scott Givens, says, “I am immensely proud of my team for their dedication and hard work.” He added, “The Pan American Games Opening Ceremony will carry the prestigious acknowledgement of being Emmy Nominated.”
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be given on June 13th in New York, and the Daytime Emmy Awards program is June 20th in Los Angeles.
